Undefeated Team Anime Enters 2018 Qigong Archery Season In Top Form

By Weber Wellness Reporter

Team Anime 2017 Qigong Archery Champs!

Seven archer athletes led their team called Anime to an undefeated fall season in Qigong Archery. Nathan and Raven of Team Anime also won the Individual Championship male and female titles. They both captured the most points over the course of 3 unique competitions combining Qigong moves and shooting archery at small targets no larger than a piece of paper at 10 yards. Nathan and Raven had impressive performances as new archers (only in training 3 months) as they competed against competitors who had several years of experience. They showed that great determination and solid focus can set new standards. All the competitors received the same training and only trained one hour a week.

Raven and Nathan 2017 Individual Champions!

“Being in this program and winning shows me that I can and will be able to achieve great things. When I learned I won the Series Championship it was amazing. It was the greatest feeling of pride and anticipation all coming together into one moment,” remarked Raven, the 2017 Female Series Champion.

When you watch archery in the movies, you get inspired and you want to try it. It is different and unique and it is an outstanding skill to learn.

“You have nothing to lose. There is no point in not trying archery. I thought I was just coming out here to shoot archery and work on fitness and to become a champion in a few months against top competition is an amazing surprise,” added Nathan, the 2017 Male Series Champion.

“You may have bad days and good days, but you can express yourself in the archery fitness program and make friends. Kids can come here and make archery dreams and make their archery dreams come true here,” mentioned Anecya on Team Anime as other members of the team nodded in agreement.

Archer Athletes are now in training for the 2018 Championship Series where they will compete in Qigong moves and shoot targets upto 35 yards for a team title and series awards for top 3 male and female. Learn more at www.aliciaweber.com/archery or Contact Alicia at Awinningway@gmail.com

Alicia Concluded her 17 Day Track to producing Champions on November 11, 2017, where young men from the Champion Circle Program awaited to do a 45 minute “Mystery Activity.” They were surprised that they competed in a self-esteem booster known as an Archery Fitness Challenge where they officially became ARCHER ATHLETES!! They worked on many skills and excelled in their activity in a timely manner. They learned that in order to develop self-esteem they need to do something and accomplish something. They were all Champions to learn new skills and complete this challenge in only 45 minutes!!

Archery Fitness Challenge Self-Esteem Booster

Alicia Weber re-set her own world record in the 30 minutes of shoulder-width grip chin ups on November 7, 2017, when she did more than 500 (over 50 reps over her previous world record set back on August 10, 2012). She gains great self-esteem when she is able to set, re-set, and re-set her longer more arduous records.

Alicia Weber breaks another record with over 500 reps of proper form chin-ups in 30 minutes!

Alicia captured her 118th overall victory on November 4th, 2017, when she ran a 5k race on packed-sand to raise funds for pediatric cancer. She was over-joyed by the wonderful environment, friends, and new friendly people (and Sandhill Cranes) she met at the event. She had a runner’s high and self-esteem high that day!

Alicia’s 118th Victory!

October 26 – October 31

Nineteen of Alicia’s Archer Athletes would agree that success is achieved in self-esteem building activities. They all took the Qigong Halloween Archery Challenge. Three Teams qualified for the event and they finished in a Wicked Witch nail-biting close match as they took shots to ghost and pumpkin targets.

Finally, a Big Fan of many years challenged Alicia to an isometric shoulder exercise. Alicia took in the suggestion and created a new type of isometric strength and endurance challenge for Halloween 2017 involving holding two bows and doing lunges on a BOSU. The video reached 2,000+ views in just a few days and has become one of her most popular challenges for this year. Success comes from self-esteem and achievements, which makes people feel secure. Great Achievements make people popular!!!

Last but not least, in order to celebrate Halloween in style, World Record Weber Wonder Woman performed a new Feats of Strength Compilation. She had such a natural high from self-esteem that she had to do a little extra in her cape.

Count Down to Fall Archery Fitness League

By Alicia Weber

Alicia Weber officially becomes a 1,000 Time Recordsetter this summer!

As the long-awaited, and highly-anticipated fall archery fitness season is only days away from starting, we will have a glance at my 2017 summer endeavor highlights below.

I made a fantastic get-a-way trip to Kauai during July! I got into my creative mode and did a lot of Improv comedy as World Record Weber and Audrey Athletica on this trip as I produced my Kauai Adventures video below.

I awoke each day to the sounds of the ocean and roosters and became inspired to make a relaxation audio ocean poetry CD with 36 poems (the same ones in my first book I wrote called, “Wild Under the Waves” when I was sixteen). This ocean animal package is now available. Contact me if interested at Awinningway@gmail.com

When I returned back to the mainland I was in La La Land for a couple weeks still thinking and feeling like I was in Kauai. Many people were waiting upon my arrival to get back into the swing of fitness, which made me happy! I brought back the Archery Scavenger Hunt Race, which has been highly rated as at top event. This year marked the 2nd Annual event where two records were set!

2nd Annual Archery Scavenger Hunt Race

Of course, I have been very busy with intense training and record breaking. I finally broke a very tough ab record that I have been trying to re-set for 3 years!!
Can you guess what the ab record might be? Well, I broke the record by 100 reps!! Find Out, See below…

On August 21, 2017, RecordSetter announced that I am an official 1,000 Time Physical Fitness World Record Setter when there was the rare solar eclipse—talk about perfect, hot-to-trot timing!!

Barebow Archery Elite Team Sets Records in 900 Round

By Weber Way To Wellness Reporter

CENTRAL FLORIDA, June 10, 2017—Only 3 out of hundreds were selected to be on the 2017 Elite Team in barebow category archery where they train and compete in the the Elite 900 Round Invitational on June 10, 2017. The three selected were chosen for their dedication, determination, and discipline in training both mentally and physically in barebow category archery. They also had to have all won championships. Indaya, Aisha, and Siri of Alicia Weber’s Archery, Fitness, and Sports League performed above and beyond what was expected for their first ever 900 Round! They trained 6-weeks to prepare for the long, grueling event in the Florida heat.

Their event took 3.5 hours in mid-morning where they saw the sun, clouds, and some rain, but they remained on fire the whole time! They kept progressing through the rounds with more and more points and finally they all set age group league records with scores that would give veteran archers a run for their money.

Elite Team Competes and Sets Records in 900 Round

The Elite Archers competed in the Youth Barebow Category Archery 900 Round consisting of 50yds-40yds-30yds with 6 arrows a person and 5 rounds per distance (300 possible points at each distance).

Three members of the 2017 Elite Team Set Records in the 900 Round on 6.10.17.

Here are their results and Top Accolade that got them here:

Indaya (age 14) scored 367 pts to set the overall league record and the age 14 record in 900 Round. She is the only girl to win two championships. She won the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 Archery Fitness Championships. She has been training for three years.

Siri (age 17) scored 320 pts in the 900 Round to set the Age 17 League Record. She has only been training 6 months and won the Spring 2017 Archery Mind Games Championship.

Aisha (age 13) scored 182 pts to set the age 13 League record in the 900 Round. She won the Fall 2016 Domino Archery Distance Shooting Championship. She is going into her second year of training.

When asked how they felt after their first 900 Round, they all exclaimed, “Unbelievable.”

They agreed that the great, positive coaching elevated them to a high level of performance today. It was a phenomenal feeling of achievement, which was both mentally and physically challenging in a unique way that is very different from other sports.

They will resume training with other athletes in a new program to challenge their skills known as Quigong Archery. If youths are interested in the upcoming program, Contact Alicia at Awinningway@gmail.com

6 Championships in Twenty-One Days

By Alicia Weber Photos copyrighted © Alicia Weber

In twenty-one days I coached many athletes to their championships as I coached myself to two major championships in 2 different sports. My adrenaline pumps to the thrill of competition and the excitement of taking myself and others to a whole new level. The difference between a race or regular event and a championship is the commitment, focus, as well as a much greater level of competition. The expectation is to bring out the best in myself and those who I am training. We make an effort to do this repeatedly, which means we need to become better people and better athletes all the time. The key is building all the correct muscles, skills, and great habits of success, so that we are able to peak at the right time for championships.

I was involved in 6 championships in 21 days, but these two championships above were the ones where I was the athlete. The remaining 4 championships, I was the coach.

The twenty-one days of 6 Championships began with my personal championship -THE USA 10K Beach Running Championship (which I won 3 times, took 3rd once, and took second…). This year I took my second consecutive second place finish for overall women (16th overall out of 1,280 men and women). I was thrilled with my performance as I never raced in such tough conditions before. There was rain, hail, and 20+ mph winds. I was also very happy that two former University of Florida Gator track/cross country athletes dominated the field. Ceal Muldoon Walker, a former UF runner from the mid-80s, finished first place woman as I was second place woman (former Gator athlete 2000-2002). It was a memorable race, which I kept thinking about for a couple days. I then had to quickly switch gears and get my high energy ready for my 2017 Archery Fitness Mind Games Championship on May 7 where 12 archer athletes qualified.

Archer Athletes Shoot For Stars in May 2017 Championships

There were only three first-time championship competitors who competed for the first time for the individual and team competition on TEAM JAG. All other competitors were returning competitors, former champs, multi-champs etc..The competition was the toughest thus far with ages 8-17 vying for titles as they not only had to master barebow category archery, but foot golf, a spelling bee, math problem solving, and mind processing challenges. They were all extremely well prepared and I knew they would wiz through this competition in tip-top form.

Since the youth already know what it is like to train and become a champion, they had to teach spectators about qualities of champions during their introduction.

“Discipline,” Sebastian of the Red Rubies called out as he went on to become the first male to win the overall individual title twice. He helped lead his team, The Red Rubies, to a second place team title.

“Hard work,” added Siri who went on to win her first championship. It was her dream to compete as an archer athlete and she enjoys training and excelling with her teammate, Two time champ, Indaya. Indaya, Siri, and the girls of the Majestic Maroons are named to the league’s first Elite Team. Majestic Maroons won the 2016 Team competition, while The Tides won the 2017 team competition.

Aisha won the 2016 Domino Archery Championship and took second in this one. Izzy of Hematites took third place. New archer, Bryton, of the JAGS took 2nd male, while former champion, Matteo, took third place male.

The spring 2017 champions!

The Junior Varsity competitors competed in a virtual archery foot golf championship. They are still honing their skills and they work with skill sets related to their abilities as they move up the developmental pipeline. They had great success and even popped out some new league records!!

Some of the results include Team Ecclesiastes with 54 points, second place team with 47 points was Archery Kings, and third place team with 44 points was a team A R Awesome.

Some of the following records were set for the league in Barebow category archery:

1. Youngest archer in year round program (age 4).

2. First 8yr old to hit a bullseye at 35 yards on his third lesson.

3. First 9 yr old to hit target at 35 yards on 4th lesson.

All the youth reaped the results of their hard work and dedication over the past few months as all their competitions concluded on May 15th. However, I had my own personal competition still to come. The training has been going really great – hopping on my SUP surfboard and hitting some waves in 18.6mph winds and 11-12 mph winds on a lake as I led up to my ocean SUP Championship on May 20. It was predicted to be flatwater, but it turned out to be “rock n’ roll” time for our morning race in St. Petersburg, Florida. Due to high winds of 12 mph and a lot of big waves, the course was shortened to around 2 miles. I was very happy to take the win in such tough conditions!! I became overall female champion in SUP Surfboard category and finished 8 minutes ahead of 2nd place.

I finished my spring season as an elite coach and athlete on a very high note!!

2016 Halloween Athletic Extravaganza

By Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

World Record Weber’s favorite holiday is Halloween for the fun, creativity, and characters that come with it. This year she had 4 days of Halloween events, which included two Inaugural Championship competitions for youth athletes.

Double Endeavor Halloween Championship Weekend

On October 29th, World Record Weber hosted a Halloween Archery Contest, which tested new and veteran archer’s skills at Halloween targets (where a lot of pumpkin smashing took place). The contest was 10 times more challenging than shooting at regular targets, but after a lot of “warming up” all the archers excelled with flying black and orange colors.

A new team called Constellations prevailed on the female side to take individual first (Lanissa with 15pts) and second places (Jadyn with 11pts). Veteran 2 x champion archer, Indaya of the Camo Hunters, took third place with 7pts. On the male side, Robin Hood (Matteo) won with 28pts, brothers Alex and Nicholas tied for second place with 26 pts, and Henry from the legendary team called The Rubies secured third place with 17pts.

The adrenaline for Halloween competitions was just beginning to brew as some athletes returned the following day and new athletes poured in for the Inaugural Halloween Cross Country One Mile Championship.

halloweenrace1

World Record Wonder Woman challenged the excited youth runners to what must be one of the toughest one mile races in the state of Florida. Prior to this competition, Weber (who has competed all over the state and nation) ran the mile course twice in 6:19 each time. Her time is a little more than a minute slower than what she would do on flat grass. She warned the racers that this is very tough and times would be slower than normal. Acting as the pace setter aka Rabbit, the Wonder Woman got the runners off to a whip, roaring start where they huffed and puffed to an incredible triumph (where approx 1,000 meters was on 12 percent grade hills and the remaining 0.4 miles were rolling or flat).

inauguralcrosscountryhalloweenrace

New cross country runner, nine year old JP, took the victory in 7:56 followed by teammates Nicole in 8:54 and Eli in 9:23. They took 1-2-3 and represented the Mariners.

Cody who helped set a Global Running Day world record, took 4th place. Our male and female Halloween Archery Champions, Matteo and Lanissa, finished this challenging course and called this their first-ever running race as they crossed the line in 5th and 6th place.

halloweenhillclimb

“The harder the challenge, then the sweeter the victory,” said Matteo who had a terrific Halloween weekend.

“It feels amazing to win archery, but I like to challenge myself at events where they are difficult for me,” mentioned Matteo.

Lanissa agreed with Matteo. “It feels good to try this run because I never raced before. It was a great motivation to get me out there. It felt great to win in archery yesterday with the top competition,” said Lanissa.

All athletes agreed that they were happy that Coach Weber challenged them to this tough cross country course rather than give them an easy, flat race.

Now, these motivated young athletes will prepare for their next events as they remember and are inspired by the words from Matteo,

“The harder the challenge, the sweeter the victory.”

Creative Archery Camp Keeps Archers Entertained in Summer

By Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Photos © AliciaWeber.com

CreativeArcheryMost new archers look forward to their first bullseye as their mark of success and excitement in archery, but Alicia Weber’s Creative Archery Summer Camp goes above and beyond shooting for Bullseyes. Young campers did not know what to expect other than they would be doing archery. Some waited months for this camp to take place. One thing was certain, Alicia Weber’s Creative Archery was out-of-this-world with jammed-packed activities geared to getting young students to master skills quickly and successfully.

Student-Athletes in Alicia’s archery programs become great athletes and excellent students. They develop mental and physical skills and focus needed to achieve any goal they set their minds on achieving. In spring 2016, all the archer-athletes who won the spring championship were also on the Honor Roll. Excelling in athletics and academics are equally important and the Creative Archery Summer Camp allows students to gear up academically with the math, English, writing, reading, public speaking, health, art, and performing arts experiences all tossed into archery in this one week camp. This camp is a great refresher for students about to head back to school after their long summer break or holiday break.
