Focus Results in Victory in 2018 Self Defense Archery Championships

CENTRAL FLORIDA—Six teams compete for the highly revered title of “Self Defense Archery Team Champion” as Individual Competitors strive to finish in the Top Three. The youth have different reasons to strive and dedicate themselves to such a unique, complex mind-body sport.

One boy is working on being selected into the League Hall of Fame one day. Other new archer-athletes are trying to be their best and soak up the new challenge. While still others enjoy making new friends, setting goals, breaking league records, growing their self-esteem and confidence, and improving their mental and physical condition.

Coach Weber captured her 126 overall victory in Clermont Clay Trail 5k on 10/28/18.
There are many reasons to try so hard to do so well. The youth have endless opportunities and rewards for their hard work and dedication and Coach Alicia Weber is full of surprises. Her athletes surprise her too!

Amanda is a new female archer-athlete with no competitive background until joining this league. She did wonders in the Series 1 Championship for her Clermont team. Amanda represents Team Anime. She was told she would need to score 34 points minimum in order to lead her team to victory and defeat the extraordinarily regarded Red Rubies. The pressure was on. Coach Weber gave her a pep talk and assured her that her focus would lead her to a phenomenal result. Amanda took the approach to just “Relax and Win.”

The Red Rubies (a team of all boys) have garnered 4 team victories (more than any other team in history). Amanda is on a coed team and she was the last competitor to compete for score on her team.

Amanda breezed through the self defense portion of the event garnering 11 out of 13 possible points. Then, she did something astonishing and shot 2 bullseyes off the bat and kept going to finish with a total 51 points, which propelled Team Anime into First Place with 18.5 point lead over the Red Rubies.

Amanda also tied in third place for girls with her teammate Ashley. The 2017-2018 Series Champ, Raven, on Team Anime placed second with 52 points. Amber on Team Curry Wolf, an amazing new archer full of surprises, earned 53 points for first place.

The fourth place team is Junior Rubies with 206 points. Fifth place team is Couriers with 202 points. Sixth place team is Fit N Fighting Fortiter with 171.50 points.

The individual male competition was finalized after Thanksgiving as Newbie Sean from Team Fit N Fighting Fortiter was the trooper to fight the coldest conditions to perform a Top score (36.5 points) for his team.

Clermont, FL, Hosts First Ever Physical Fitness Day for Inaugural RecordSetter World Record Day!

By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

Foreword: Alicia Weber is a Fitness Trainer and Wellness Coach of over 14 years that gets results as she guided the following 3 athletes to world records and has a physical fitness record setting organization here for her fitness trainees. Alicia’s RecordSetter physical fitness world records are here.

CLERMONT, FL— Alicia Weber already achieved 100 world records in physical fitness, but keeps going. I ask her what her motivation is and she replied, “I have over 600+ muscles in my body and I need to keep them ALL in top working order! I always have looked at the total picture in physical fitness. I keep improving and I have A LOT more goals.”

One goal Alicia had set was to hold the first ever Physical Fitness World Record Day in Clermont, FL, and her event was one of just 21 events held in the world to celebrate RecordSetter World Record Day! Alicia was very pleased with her event, which garnered 7 world records and 6 Most Popular World Records that made frontpage on recordsetter.com ALL on same day May 1, 2012

All Clermont Athletes Made Frontpage of Recordsetter.com as they earned votes and views to become Most Popular World Records! Hammer Head’s Neck Strength World Records took 4th and 13th place, 81 yr old Cherie took 5th place, Roxann’s running records took 11th and 16th places, and Alicia took 1st place!

Alicia kicked off her event at the National Training Center Track where she completed the Alternative 400m Dash a.k.a 400m Medley where she shaved 11 seconds off her previous best time to garner the first world record of this eventful day on April 28, 2012.

Next, Roxann Steinke, 71, put her best foot forward on the track and took home 2 world records for over age 70 track running events within 15 months after a total hip replacement. Roxann said, “I’m happy that I ran my fastest 3,200m ever and I faired well in the 5k, which was run in the heat of the day. I don’t compete on the track, so this is a new experience.” Roxann keeps improving her running times. Within the first 70 days of 2012, she reduced her 5k time by 3 minutes. Since, then (63 days later) Roxann has reduced her time another 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Her best time (as of April 2012) has been 56:37 for a 5k road race. Roxann proves you can get faster as you get older even with a full hip replacement!!

Cherie Oney, 81, has been her best ever at her oldest age yet! Cherie’s years of experience have been in competitive dog shows and her Golden Years are proving to be her best years. Cherie and her youngest saluki Angel have earned their AKC Championship and are half way to earning the Grand Championships as they compete on the National level and collect points for top performances that are evaluated based on gracefulness in the run, physical features, etc.

Cherie has been specifically wanting to build her leg endurance, but if you work with Alicia you need to work on everything!! Alicia picked the exercise of Most Consecutive Cone Pick Ups, While Holding an Isometric Lunge as it is performed on a grass surface and involves a wide-range of disciplines including leg endurance, core strength, flexibility, quadricep and hip flexor muscle groups, AND BALANCE!! Who said people as they get older lose balance?? Cherie’s balance keeps improving and she is more “balanced” in her Golden Years than ever!

Cherie’s Record Setting over age 80 Most Consecutive Cone Pick Ups, While Holding Isometric Lunge

Balancing careers as a competitive athlete in contact sports, marine, and a cop in some of the toughest crime areas has sent this over age 50 guy known as “Hammer Head” into secret hiding to develop his neck muscles to become the strongest to hold up in contact sports and confrontation! Alicia was surprised when “Hammer Head” revealed he had been hiding away for 35 years building his neck and wished to set a world record in neck strength. Alicia thought the purpose of his mission for the big, strong neck was so that it would be too big to strangle! Alicia learned otherwise!

The “Hammer Head” said, “Having a strong neck helps in contact sports and I have been training it for 35 years to prevent injuries and help with preventing concussions and other neck issues that arise from police work.” Hammer Head’s secret neck exercises are called “Front Head Presses” and “Back of Head Presses” and he shows they work as he also set 2 world records in both events (one after the other on RecordSetter World Record Day)!

Hammer Head’s Record Setting Most Consecutive Back of Head Presses for over age 50 (150lbs)

Closing out the eventful first ever Physical Fitness Day, Alicia picked an one-of-a-kind exercise that stands out as the world’s toughest type of dip – Ring L Position Dips. Alicia said, “What makes this exercise so tough is the element of flexibility and strength as the legs have to be held straight out together and kept parallel to ground entire time. I first set this world record in 2010 with another record book, and I am ecstatic to improve and re-set this record and open the category now at RecordSetter!”

I ask Alicia on her thoughts of the Inaugural RecordSetter World Record Day and she said, “I am thrilled to be part of a ground breaking event and instill physical fitness in the community! These were all very serious physical fitness records and everyone had been working toward these goals and achieving them is exhilarating!”

Are You up for a Fitness Challenge in Central Florida? Personal Trainer has Fun & Challenging Fitness Programs in Orlando Florida

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

CLERMONT, FLORIDA— Alicia’s Fitness Challenge concluded in flying colors as the top three finishers received tie-dyed shirts, improved fitness in all 5 areas of physical fitness, and much more!!  Throughout Central Florida businesses and individuals alike could register for free and do Alicia’s 12-week fitness challenge, while they were on a personal training program.

Alicia Weber is a fitness trainer of 12-years that is described as energetic, enthusiastic, and full of surprises! Alicia challenged fitness enthusiasts with a 12-week fitness challenge that consisted of 28 exercises worth 5 to 50 points and the exercises increased in difficulty every week as the point value increased.

Some believed the fitness challenge couldn’t be that challenging and they signed up only to drop out during the first week.  Others thought they would never be able to complete the difficult exercises in the later weeks of the challenge.

One female retired Law Enforcement Officer stayed optimistic and said, “If I am training with Alicia Weber anything is possible.  I know Alicia well because I trained with her longer than any of the other participants and I keep working and improving fitness with Alicia. I want to stay in shape during retirement!”  The challenge requires a mental toughness and this retired Law Enforcement Officer proved she not only had mental toughness, but the physical fitness to win this challenge!

Twelve began the challenge and only 4 finished the challenge.  All of the men dropped out.  Men and women competed in the same exercises with the same point values.

Alicia describes her challenge by saying, “I don’t expect people to get a perfect score.  They will get great successes and they will have to handle failures too.  Everything in this challenge is out of reach, but I will train them to put things in reach as they put out some effort.  They all train only 1 hour a week with me and then they are given some ‘exercise homework’ to complete.  This challenge will test their mental toughness and at the same time improve one in all 5 areas of physical fitness (cardio, muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, abdominal strength/endurance, and balance/coordination).”

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Wins Fitness Challenge!

The retired Law Enforcement Officer pictured here won with an incredible 85% cumulative score and a perfect score in abdominal strength and endurance.  The total possible points one could earn is 685 points.  All the women performed 10 men’s pushups in a row by the 5th week.   The women and men strived to perform 24 consecutive spiderman pushups to earn 50pts by the 12th week.  No one met that goal, but several women got partial credit for doing 4 spiderman pushups in a row.  The winner tackled the hardest exercises with class and blew away Alicia’s standards on a few of them including the 3 Minute Ab Curl Up (she did 150 reps in 2 and half minutes and she only needed to do 105 reps to get 50 pts).  Since she was past the mark of 105 reps to earn her 50pts, she stopped at 150 reps and saved her energies to attack other exercises.

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Wins Fitness Challenge

The winner comments on her fitness challenge win and the benefits she achieved by saying, “If I listened to Alicia, concentrated on what Alicia was teaching me, and followed her techniques, then the possibility to improve in 12-weeks was there.  When I put the effort out, the improvements came naturally.  I was surprised at what I did.”

Alicia commends all those that completed her fitness challenge, which has been her toughest.  All four finishers received awards.  Additionally, the top 3 finishers received a special tie-dyed shirt and they won a free copy of Alicia’s new book on physical fitness, which is now available as an ebook at AliciaWeber.com/fit!

Are you up for a challenge?  Alicia has summer fitness challenges called the “Lungfish Challenge,” which last several weeks and combine water and land training.  If you wish to enroll, contact Alicia at Awinningway@gmail.com
