2015 A Year of Career Bests for Alicia Weber: Welcome 2016!!

By Alicia Weber

As an elite athlete and fitness professional, I achieved my greatest successes to date in 2015 and I look forward to 2016 and helping others exceed their goals!

2015 A Year of Career Bests

Professionally, my career highlight came when I worked with Olympic and World Champion sprinters on their quest to make the 2015 World Championships, Pan Am Games, and World Relays Track and Field Teams. The athletes I worked with on P360 Pro Track Team earned many medals at these championships. I was the team licensed massage therapist and stretching coach.

As a world record holder, I set the most strength and endurance world records ever in one year – 220!! My previous best was 205 records in 2012. I am the world’s most prolific physical fitness world record holder. I realized in December that I had the chance to exceed 205 records and I aimed for 210.

I opened the new category – 30 Minute consecutive Spiderman Pushups at Recordsetter where I completed 511 reps on December 29.

On Christmas, I broke two challenging one arm pushup records (one of which took 5 attempts before re-setting it).

On the last day of the year, I attempted to reclaim my 3 minute arms held out deep squat record (which an ultra athlete Frenchman currently holds), but I fell short. However, I kept going to open some new categories. At the strike of midnight, I was overjoyed when I saw the realization that I exceeded my goal and set 220 records in one year!!

As an athlete, I finally won my first SUP race of my career in my 7th race! I took over 20 minutes off my 3 mile time and finished in 35 minutes in the intracoastal waterways of Englewood, Florida. I won my 3rd Beach Running Championship title in May and I became the only male or female to win the championship three times. I competed in three sports in 2015 (beach running (off terrain running), SUP racing, and fitness challenge events).

An exciting surprise opportunity came along in 2015, which also makes a career highlight for me. I went on my first show on National TV where I was a prop and I competed in a physical fitness obstacle course which involved a lot of rope climbing. I competed and used arms only climbing for the entire competition and it was discussed in the show.

Welcoming 2016, I look forward to the kids, adults, and seniors joining my archery fitness league, athletic camps, and clinics. I look forward to working with my new students in learning to stand up paddle board. I am looking forward to covering a lot of unique stories on this website in 2016 and offering innovative advertising and marketing services to those interested.

Happy New Year and Committed to Your Success,

Alicia Weber

Abdominal Strength Challenges

By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

World Record Weber has been busy setting and re-setting abdominal exercises at Recordsetter. Below is a look at some tough ab exercises for overall strength and endurance training.

Back on October 7, 2014, Weber re-set the “concrete one arm planked world record” with a new time just under 10 minutes. This exercise not only tests core strength, but one arm muscle stabilizers. It is good to train one side and then repeat on the other side.

Next, on October 12, 2014, Weber re-set the “strict form spiderman cadence test” record with her new mark of 11 minutes. The goal of this test is to complete ten repetitions of a 6 count exercise each minute until failure. It is a new and improved type of alternative pushup cadence test, which tests flexibility and small and large muscle groups.

Finally, on October 20, 2014, Weber tested her latest ab exercise “sprinter’s situp” as she went for the first ever world record at Recordsetter. It is a consecutive ab exercise similar to a knee tuck as it tests balance and ab strength. Each rep of the exercise must be performed in 3 seconds or less. Legs and arms are not allowed to touch ground. Low back must touch ground and come up perpendicular at apex as opposite bent arm goes toward opposite bent knee.

Just hitting the gym 3 times a week makes a person feel better, but the people that do that PLUS get tested in physical fitness get SO MUCH MORE out of fitness and LIFE!!

A top finisher in Alicia’s “2010 Toughest Fitness Challenge” said that the physical fitness testing is where she learned her strengths and weaknesses.  Going to the gym regularly, she never knew where she stood head to toe.  Now, she knows where she stands and is better because of her fitness challenge!

Alicia “World Record” Weber says, ”All walks of life can benefit from a fitness challenge no matter if you are behind the desk working all day or in the military.  However, if you are in the military or police, I feel you should do a fitness challenge yearly to stay on top of your game.”

Clyde works at the computer by day, but is there for his workouts at night.  He won 2 fitness challenges with Alicia so far.  He knows he will stretch himself and it is fun to see how far you can go under Alicia’s tutelage.

Alicia says, “Although people may hear ‘physical fitness testing’ and feel their stomachs churn and want to avoid the topic, my ‘tests’ are not regimented and mundane.  They can actually be pretty fun.”

Clyde just competed and won a “Lungfish Challenge” which consisted of an aquatic long jump, water intervals, and others.  Once one challenge is done, he is ready for another!

Alicia gives Clyde a Pop Quiz for Spiderman Pushups and challenges him to 24 reps (his current best is 14 reps)!  He is preparing for Alicia’s January 2011 Fitness Challenge!

Clyde comments on his physical fitness excitement, “I love the adrenaline rush, goal setting, and competition. It is an individual competition to test myself and I trust Alicia to sculpt my body and be able to do things I can’t imagine doing.  Alicia is an ‘exercise artist’ with each exercise and workout preparing one for a bigger goal and achievement.”

A retired S.W.A.T police sniper believes yearly physical fitness testing is a MUST.  He trains under Alicia and recently won a competitive shooting competition. He has been challenged in a 3-min Aerobic Step Test and ab endurance challenges and he hopes to take part in Alicia’s next fitness challenge.  He believes being retired is about traveling and being able to climb the Great Wall of China or a mountain in France, if you wish.  You don’t want to come into retirement over-worked, bedridden, and unable to enjoy life because you left your physical fitness to the dogs!

The retired S.W.AT police sniper says, “When you are out of shape as a police officer you are not only letting yourself down, but your partner.  Physical fitness has been shown to improve shooting, fighting, and the ability to handle stress.  Alicia’s workouts and fitness challenges are about all-around physical fitness and well being. She tailors the workouts to individual’s needs from beginner to advanced.”

Are You up for a Fitness Challenge in Central Florida? Personal Trainer has Fun & Challenging Fitness Programs in Orlando Florida

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

CLERMONT, FLORIDA— Alicia’s Fitness Challenge concluded in flying colors as the top three finishers received tie-dyed shirts, improved fitness in all 5 areas of physical fitness, and much more!!  Throughout Central Florida businesses and individuals alike could register for free and do Alicia’s 12-week fitness challenge, while they were on a personal training program.

Alicia Weber is a fitness trainer of 12-years that is described as energetic, enthusiastic, and full of surprises! Alicia challenged fitness enthusiasts with a 12-week fitness challenge that consisted of 28 exercises worth 5 to 50 points and the exercises increased in difficulty every week as the point value increased.

Some believed the fitness challenge couldn’t be that challenging and they signed up only to drop out during the first week.  Others thought they would never be able to complete the difficult exercises in the later weeks of the challenge.

One female retired Law Enforcement Officer stayed optimistic and said, “If I am training with Alicia Weber anything is possible.  I know Alicia well because I trained with her longer than any of the other participants and I keep working and improving fitness with Alicia. I want to stay in shape during retirement!”  The challenge requires a mental toughness and this retired Law Enforcement Officer proved she not only had mental toughness, but the physical fitness to win this challenge!

Twelve began the challenge and only 4 finished the challenge.  All of the men dropped out.  Men and women competed in the same exercises with the same point values.

Alicia describes her challenge by saying, “I don’t expect people to get a perfect score.  They will get great successes and they will have to handle failures too.  Everything in this challenge is out of reach, but I will train them to put things in reach as they put out some effort.  They all train only 1 hour a week with me and then they are given some ‘exercise homework’ to complete.  This challenge will test their mental toughness and at the same time improve one in all 5 areas of physical fitness (cardio, muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, abdominal strength/endurance, and balance/coordination).”

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Wins Fitness Challenge!

The retired Law Enforcement Officer pictured here won with an incredible 85% cumulative score and a perfect score in abdominal strength and endurance.  The total possible points one could earn is 685 points.  All the women performed 10 men’s pushups in a row by the 5th week.   The women and men strived to perform 24 consecutive spiderman pushups to earn 50pts by the 12th week.  No one met that goal, but several women got partial credit for doing 4 spiderman pushups in a row.  The winner tackled the hardest exercises with class and blew away Alicia’s standards on a few of them including the 3 Minute Ab Curl Up (she did 150 reps in 2 and half minutes and she only needed to do 105 reps to get 50 pts).  Since she was past the mark of 105 reps to earn her 50pts, she stopped at 150 reps and saved her energies to attack other exercises.

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Wins Fitness Challenge

The winner comments on her fitness challenge win and the benefits she achieved by saying, “If I listened to Alicia, concentrated on what Alicia was teaching me, and followed her techniques, then the possibility to improve in 12-weeks was there.  When I put the effort out, the improvements came naturally.  I was surprised at what I did.”

Alicia commends all those that completed her fitness challenge, which has been her toughest.  All four finishers received awards.  Additionally, the top 3 finishers received a special tie-dyed shirt and they won a free copy of Alicia’s new book on physical fitness, which is now available as an ebook at AliciaWeber.com/fit!
