This Spring 2021 has been a busy, record-breaking time for World Record Weber! On March 8th, Alicia completed her 25th Parkrun 5K (US virtual Series) where she set her personal best for the 5k cross country run in time of 18:33 on a well-groomed, rolling Groveland, FL course. She felt her new (New Balance 940 v4) helped her PR because she has run the course before in her old running shoes and suddenly saw huge improvement in the new shoe! Her former best time in the 5k cross country goes way back to 2000 as a UF gator where she led her team and ran 18:42 at the Disney Cross Country Race. She went right from a running PR to Strength PR.

Strength Records go in the books…As Alicia brought in 41 years, she set a new bar cross isometric hold world record! She made several attempts in 2020, but failed. Now, on March 9th she improved by 11 seconds!!

2016 Halloween Athletic Extravaganza

By Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

World Record Weber’s favorite holiday is Halloween for the fun, creativity, and characters that come with it. This year she had 4 days of Halloween events, which included two Inaugural Championship competitions for youth athletes.

Double Endeavor Halloween Championship Weekend

On October 29th, World Record Weber hosted a Halloween Archery Contest, which tested new and veteran archer’s skills at Halloween targets (where a lot of pumpkin smashing took place). The contest was 10 times more challenging than shooting at regular targets, but after a lot of “warming up” all the archers excelled with flying black and orange colors.

A new team called Constellations prevailed on the female side to take individual first (Lanissa with 15pts) and second places (Jadyn with 11pts). Veteran 2 x champion archer, Indaya of the Camo Hunters, took third place with 7pts. On the male side, Robin Hood (Matteo) won with 28pts, brothers Alex and Nicholas tied for second place with 26 pts, and Henry from the legendary team called The Rubies secured third place with 17pts.

The adrenaline for Halloween competitions was just beginning to brew as some athletes returned the following day and new athletes poured in for the Inaugural Halloween Cross Country One Mile Championship.

World Record Wonder Woman challenged the excited youth runners to what must be one of the toughest one mile races in the state of Florida. Prior to this competition, Weber (who has competed all over the state and nation) ran the mile course twice in 6:19 each time. Her time is a little more than a minute slower than what she would do on flat grass. She warned the racers that this is very tough and times would be slower than normal. Acting as the pace setter aka Rabbit, the Wonder Woman got the runners off to a whip, roaring start where they huffed and puffed to an incredible triumph (where approx 1,000 meters was on 12 percent grade hills and the remaining 0.4 miles were rolling or flat).

inauguralcrosscountryhalloweenrace

New cross country runner, nine year old JP, took the victory in 7:56 followed by teammates Nicole in 8:54 and Eli in 9:23. They took 1-2-3 and represented the Mariners.

Cody who helped set a Global Running Day world record, took 4th place. Our male and female Halloween Archery Champions, Matteo and Lanissa, finished this challenging course and called this their first-ever running race as they crossed the line in 5th and 6th place.

halloweenhillclimb

“The harder the challenge, then the sweeter the victory,” said Matteo who had a terrific Halloween weekend.

“It feels amazing to win archery, but I like to challenge myself at events where they are difficult for me,” mentioned Matteo.

Lanissa agreed with Matteo. “It feels good to try this run because I never raced before. It was a great motivation to get me out there. It felt great to win in archery yesterday with the top competition,” said Lanissa.

All athletes agreed that they were happy that Coach Weber challenged them to this tough cross country course rather than give them an easy, flat race.

Now, these motivated young athletes will prepare for their next events as they remember and are inspired by the words from Matteo,

“The harder the challenge, the sweeter the victory.”

Records Shattered and Families Amused by Unique Clermont Event

By Alicia Weber

CLERMONT, FL—-This week was highly exciting for me both personally and professionally. First, I pulled off an enormous endurance feat I have been eyeing since first grade…(and seriously training 8 1/2 years to finally be able to do…). I became the first person to complete 1,070 strict pull-ups in one hour, which brings my physical fitness world record count to 835 this week (btw 2 WR books). Four days after this feat, I was holding my own unique event for others in my Bullseye Scavenger Hunt Series # 2 held in conjunction with Farmer’s Market.

There is always some nervousness with the anticipation of these events. I was blown away by the confidence and power exuded in my newest archer, Addie (who is 6 with only one lesson under her belt), when she powerfully shot out a few high scoring arrows in just the “warm up”. I knew a record was on the way…

Watch Addie Shatter Record

The youths understand that they may get nervous the first time they compete and their score may be lower than in practice. However, they know that practice ultimately leads to performance. In the 10 arrow 10 yard shoot for 4 minutes, I saw my seasoned archers do what they have done in practice and my newest archer did set a new record!

BullseyeScavengerHuntnumber2Addie, 6, set the record for the “Highest scorer in a 10 yard 10 arrow competition for 4 minutes from a youth age 6 or under with just one archery lesson” with her score of 9 points.

Ramsey of the Rising Underdogs won the boys archery competition with his score of 55 points (10 points away from the boys youth record). This was his first archery victory.

Nicole of the NS Archers won her first archery competition as well with her score of 74 points (12 points away from the girls youth record). Aisha of the Purple Pandas was following close behind with 72 points and she is currently the female leader in the Series Championship.

Onward, the archers went to Clermont Farmer’s Market for photographic scavenger hunt. It’s a great, fun opportunity to get locals acquainted with farmer’s market and all the vendors. The families work together to hunt down items. However, they not only look for interesting things or people, but they have to try to take the best pictures and complete the scavenger hunt in 20 minutes or less. The Photo Contest Winners are below. I look for close up, sharp, well-taken shots with good lighting and interesting angles.

Orlando Florida Archery Coach breaks World Records

By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

ORLANDO, Florida —Alicia Weber has set over 20 archery fitness world records in 2013. In just three hours, Alicia has broken almost half of the records she set a year ago. Weber re-set 4 archery fitness world records in two hours on May 1. Then, she came back on May 6 and re-set 4 more, but in just one hour.

Alicia Weber is an Orlando Florida archery, running, and fitness coach. She works with all ages and ability levels.

Weber said, “I enjoy challenges and creativity. Juggling different disciplines and excelling in world records is exciting.”

In these records, she has to complete a running distance or an exercise followed by an archery bullseye for fastest time or highest score for most reps of an exercise and archery points within three minutes. She may shoot archery as far as 40yds without any sighting devices in these records.

Weber’s archery, running, and fitness clients remarked, “Alicia’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious and motivating.”

Alicia Weber is available for private training in archery, fitness, and running in Central Florida and she can be reached at Awinningway@gmail.com

Muscle Woman’s Valentine Day 2013 Heart Strength Test

By: Alicia Weber

In 2011, I did an extensive aerobic study on 30 people age ranging from 25-75 years old and both male and female. The goal of the study was to find the Top 4 Aerobic Exercises that produced the greatest gains in aerobic capacity wellness. Aerobic Capacity Wellness refers to the person’s peak capability for delivering oxygen to the muscles and how long they can hold at that peak speed. The higher your aerobic capacity, then the higher your ability to utilize oxygen and the higher your cardiovascular fitness levels.

In this study, there were 4 exercises that stood out from the hundreds performed. The 4 exercises were considered the most beneficial, challenging, and effective movements for increasing aerobic capacity wellness.

Click picture above or visit Booty Busters on youtube at www.youtube.com/user/ArcheryAndFitness

Now, these participants in this study performed rep based exercises that never exceeded 50 reps at a time. Although they normally performed 30-60 second all out bouts. I would describe their fitness levels as beginner to intermediate. All fitness levels greatly improved aerobic capacity wellness as well as toned and firmed their bodies.

The Top 4 Exercises with the greatest benefits for increasing aerobic capacity wellness (from 1 least challenging to 4 most challenging of the Top 4 Exercises discovered among hundreds) are the following:
1. Pushup Burpees with jump and overhead clap
2. Deep Squats with arms held out
3. Leaping mountain climbers
4. 1 leg Pushup Burpees with jump and overhead clap

Being a multi-exercise world record holder, the challenge was to stack these exercises for a total 400 reps, which would turn the routine into a speed-endurance exercise as I push for the fastest time with strict form and maintain a heart rate at peak speed. I call the event the 400 Rep Aerobic Capacity Wellness Challenge and I set the world record with Recordsetter! I set 205 world records in 2012 covering total body fitness and this 400 rep world record had my pulse reaching the highest maximum heart rate and it held it the longest (180 BPM for over 20 minutes, which is approx 95% of my maximum heart rate). No other record that I set produced these kinds of results, especially for an over 20 minute duration! So without a doubt, it is the most aerobic challenge record.

Alicia’s 2013 Valentine Day Heart Strength Test – 400 Rep Aerobic Capacity Wellness Test and NEW Record!

One year later, I have broken the 400 rep Aerobic Capacity Wellness Challenge Record by 32 seconds on Valentine’s Day 2013 where I celebrated by testing my heart strength! I once again kept my pulse at 95% of my maximum heart rate for over 20 minutes.

I would call my 2011 Aerobic Study a Success for the participants and myself. Remember to get in your Cardio Workout and have a strong heart not only on Valentine’s Day, but everyday year round!

Motivational Message with the World’s Oldest Person in AKC Dog Shows Turned 100m Sprinter

Cherie Oney wins her first Track Race ever in the 100m for females 80-84 and she qualifies for the Florida Senior Games.
By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

ST. CLOUD, FL, October 13, 2012 —Today was no ordinary track meet at the State Games Qualifier at St. Cloud High School in St. Cloud, Florida. Flying down the track with a roaring crowd, the oldest female racer, Cherie Oney made her memorable mark winning the 100m dash for the 80-84 age group and advancing to the Florida Senior Games Championship in December 2012. This is so special because this is Cherie’s FIRST track race in her life and she decided to give track a shot one month ago after completing her season in AKC Dog Shows. Cherie says, “Age is just a number — follow your dreams!”

Cherie at 81 Competing in First Track Race, Winning, and Qualifying for Championship!

One year ago, Cherie could have thrown in the towel due to health problems and pain, which kept her from walking let alone running. The pain almost kept her from her life long passion – competing in Dog Shows until she met Alicia in October 2011 where she found relief, rejuvenation, recovery, and the ability to win through Alicia’s Wellness Program. Cherie says, “Motion is Lotion.” Cherie’s keys to success are weekly workouts followed by massage therapy with Alicia Weber.

In no time, Cherie was back on her feet and ready to go. Two weeks after first working in Alicia’s Wellness Program, Cherie and her Saluki Angel were back in the ring and won “Best Breed Award” at a 4 day Dog Show back in October 2011.

The successes kept escalating as her pain dwindled away.

On December 16, 2011, Cherie and her Saluki Angel earned the AKC Championship, which allows them to compete in the Special with other Championship dogs. In February 2012, Cherie and Angel competed in their first Special with other Champions where Angel won “Best of Opposite Sex” award. Cherie and Angel continued to compete in the highest level of competition and on May 13, 2012, Cherie Oney with her dog Angel set the official world record where Cherie became Oldest Person to Exhibit Their Dog at an American Kennel Club Dog Show (where you have to run with your dog) at the age of 81.

Cherie’s strength and endurance sprouted and she participated in the 2012 Recordsetter World Record Physical Fitness Day held on April 28, 2012, in Clermont, Florida, where she set a leg strength world record. A month later she broke her own world record.

Cherie exclaimed, “When you reach my age you want to celebrate! Picking up a new sport – running track is how I celebrate! Challenges rule and I am in my 2nd childhood and loving it!”

Watch Cherie Win her First Ever Track Race Followed by an Interview — Three Minutes of Motivation!!

Alicia commented, “Cherie has the positive mindset and spirit all seniors should embrace. She shows there are no excuses to not do things because of age. She inspires many people young and old alike!”

In a matter of one month of track training and another month of strength conditioning, Cherie dropped 8 seconds off her 100m time and clocked a personal best of 38.28 seconds in her first ever track race.

Alicia said, “She executed the race perfectly and exceeded the goal. Cherie demonstrates that following an effective wellness program can do wonders for your overall health and athletic performance.”

Cherie is hooked on track and continues her training under Alicia Weber.

Cherie said, “I have the goal of improving and getting faster and I’m willing to get my butt moving even though at times it is truly tough! I am a firm believer in setting and working toward goals. Age is just a number—follow YOUR dreams.”

Stay Tuned to “Keep Track” of Cherie…
