Mighty Muscle Woman’s 10th World Championship and 10 Records

Alicia Weber, the barrier breaker coach and world record woman, entered her 10th World Championship and only cross-trained for it. She wanted to see how well she could do without specifically training for the SkiErg event. She did not touch a SKiErg till the event on 11/12/20. She was happy with her result – only 2 seconds off her PR (back when she did train for the SkiErg event in the previous year).

Alicia is an online trainer and fitness and running coach in Central Florida. She also has her third book that she published on Amazon, which is a book on Wellness and injury prevention “World Record Weber Wellness”

Alicia began 2020 by re-setting a Recordsetter world record she held for 3 years, but she made it even tougher… It is the consecutive staircase pull-up record with 15 steps per rep. She first set record on 1/20/2017 with 10 reps… Now, see the new benchmark.

2019 RECAP: The Red Rubies won their 6th Team Title in the Archery Fitness League out of 10 Championships. For the first time, a Groveland boy (From Growling Tigers Team) won the individual Championship title and led his team to their best team finish of second place out of 5 teams. Returning multi-champion, Raven, of Team Anime utilized Qigong to take a big lead and win after holding a 3-way tie with two other girls. The anticipation for the Spring 2020 Self Defense Archery season is very high after everyone aced the self defense and greatly improved their archery in the fall.

Alicia “World Record” Weber excelled in her sports. She added her 18th individual sport in 2019 and competed in her 8th World Championship in the 2019 World SkiErg Sprints (1,000 meter). She only trained for 6 weeks and had weekly massage to help recover and perform her best in minimal amount of time to learn a new skill. She met her time goal for her first ever 1k race and placed 167th in the world out of 748 women!!

Alicia weighing in at only 112 pounds competed in the skiErg where extra weight adding momentum can be a competitive advantage. Alicia focused on using proper form engaging her core and triceps properly and came through the 1,000 meters in 4:25.9 to place 167th out of 748 women in the world.

Alicia moved on to setting more challenging records this year. She was not setting records at the pace she was previously accustomed to (one record every 42 hours). LOL She slowed down her pace to focus on developing more challenging workout record categories termed “World Record Weber Record Breaking Workouts”… In these workouts she may need to break a current record and then add more new records within the workout. Her goal was to set one a month. She ended year with 14 new record breaking workout records. You can follow these workouts at the link below.

Archery Fitness History is Made in the Eighth Championship

Top Archer Athletes from the 2018 Self Defense Archery Fall Series Championship

Is it possible to have six teams competing over the course of several months and have a dead heat tie between two teams? Is it possible for a youth boy to perform a Robin Hood Feat in a Series Championship? Is it possible for a girl to come out of nowhere and win against veteran female archers plus have the third highest score among all competitors?

ABSOLUTELY, anything is possible in Alicia Weber’s Archery, Fitness, Sport League where students are trained to be positive thinkers too!

It all came down to the third and final event (the toughest event with 4 squares to hit clockwise followed by a hard to hit small bullseye worth 20 points). Coed Team Anime nailed it with a full 33 point lead on the second place Team Red Rubies. Their TOP Archer, Nathan, had a near perfect score in the archery with 60x points out of a possible 70 points.

Nathan easily secured first place overall with 163x points, but the All boys team known as Red Rubies were not ready to say “goodbye” to their chance at winning a fifth Team title. They pulled together in great camaraderie, grit, and determination and shot each arrow like it was their last chance to shoot. They worked so hard and garnered so many points that they were able to tie with Team Anime for a final score of 656x points. This is the first time in archery fitness history that 2 teams tied at such a long and drawn out 3-Part Series Championship!!

Two rookie teams kept building tremendous focus and momentum in Events #2 and #3 to bring their teams to the TOP. Team Curry Wolf placed second with 583 points. Their team was led by a bow hunter turned phenom archer, Amber, who scored 137 points. She was the first place girl and she had the third best score out of everyone. Team Couriers placed third with 571 points. Their team was led by Brandon who placed third for boys with 137 points.

The Junior Rubies consisted of the Leagues youngest competitor (a six year old girl). There is also a 7 year old. Some of these motivated competitors also take a Leadership course. They work on multiple skills, while they also compete in this championship. They finished 4th place with 522 points.

In fifth place was a new team known as Fit N Fighting Fortiter with a determined 7 year old girl and other young boys and girls. The 2018 Spring Series 2nd Place Champ, Anecya, led the team on the girl’s side, while new league boys (Andrew, Sean, Benny, and Payten) got their feet wet in the new sport. The team scored 307 points.

Focus Results in Victory in 2018 Self Defense Archery Championships

CENTRAL FLORIDA—Six teams compete for the highly revered title of “Self Defense Archery Team Champion” as Individual Competitors strive to finish in the Top Three. The youth have different reasons to strive and dedicate themselves to such a unique, complex mind-body sport.

One boy is working on being selected into the League Hall of Fame one day. Other new archer-athletes are trying to be their best and soak up the new challenge. While still others enjoy making new friends, setting goals, breaking league records, growing their self-esteem and confidence, and improving their mental and physical condition.

Coach Weber captured her 126 overall victory in Clermont Clay Trail 5k on 10/28/18.
There are many reasons to try so hard to do so well. The youth have endless opportunities and rewards for their hard work and dedication and Coach Alicia Weber is full of surprises. Her athletes surprise her too!

Amanda is a new female archer-athlete with no competitive background until joining this league. She did wonders in the Series 1 Championship for her Clermont team. Amanda represents Team Anime. She was told she would need to score 34 points minimum in order to lead her team to victory and defeat the extraordinarily regarded Red Rubies. The pressure was on. Coach Weber gave her a pep talk and assured her that her focus would lead her to a phenomenal result. Amanda took the approach to just “Relax and Win.”

The Red Rubies (a team of all boys) have garnered 4 team victories (more than any other team in history). Amanda is on a coed team and she was the last competitor to compete for score on her team.

Amanda breezed through the self defense portion of the event garnering 11 out of 13 possible points. Then, she did something astonishing and shot 2 bullseyes off the bat and kept going to finish with a total 51 points, which propelled Team Anime into First Place with 18.5 point lead over the Red Rubies.

Amanda also tied in third place for girls with her teammate Ashley. The 2017-2018 Series Champ, Raven, on Team Anime placed second with 52 points. Amber on Team Curry Wolf, an amazing new archer full of surprises, earned 53 points for first place.

The individual male competition was finalized after Thanksgiving as Newbie Sean from Team Fit N Fighting Fortiter was the trooper to fight the coldest conditions to perform a Top score (36.5 points) for his team.

The other foot must then do a high side kick at a punching bag for at least 200 consecutive reps (repeat on other side of body). Then, recite Halloween poem from memory in a wall sit.

Alicia’s League Halloween Festival A Smash Hit for All Ages

By Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

CENTRAL FLORIDA (oct 19-20, 2018)—-The weekend “warmup” was Friday evening with armwrestling and Halloween-themed fitness challenges. The highlight was 4 boys armwrestling World Record Weber in an effort to push both of her arms down. It was super-charged sets of training with long lengths of time and effort to attempt to push the world record holder down and then a fitness challenge to work on other muscle groups. The boys ended the evening feeling like confident ghostbusters. They were prepared to take on the Saturday Scarecrows and other Haunts.

“I loved the armwrestling. The whole event with the archery and shuffleboard was really fun and challenging and it was way better than my expectations,” stated Matteo, The League Hall of Famer and winningest athlete in the League. Matteo won the archery and shuffleboard events.

It was a very challenging, exciting, and surprising Pumpkin Shoot with 4 stations. It started with a sound effect relay event. Then, a 3-way pumpkin Aim Challenge event, Scarecrow challenge, and Escape the Cobweb challenge. It came down to the “Bonus Round” to claim the winner. All nine archers were just a few points from one another. Each archer picked their best station to garner the final points to become a breakaway winner. Matteo won with 16 points. A new archery student, Ashley, (who just learned archery this week) tied for second place with Raven (the only female to win 2 consecutive championships). They both scored 15 points. Matteo won the scarecrow as other top archers took home pumpkins.

Highlights of Top Shots and Select Great Moments from the 2018 Halloween Festival

The boys requested to play shuffleboard. The boys and their families stampeded over to Clermont Shuffleboard to continue the excitement. The girls have requested basketball and their special event is coming soon.

“I always love how Alicia challenges the kids with fitness and other activities. The shuffleboard is a new activity. I love the idea that we have all ages of people playing shuffleboard together. We have the kids, adults, and seniors competing together and you rarely see all the generations together in sports. I love this event,” said Matteo’s mom.

Everyone had a good time learning and laughing in the new, fun sport of shuffleboard. The Clermont Shuffleboard Champions guided everyone. There were 4 teams of two people. Matteo and his teammate won as they reached 75 points first (the goal in shuffleboard). It took only an hour for them to claim the victory.

Team Anime 2017 Qigong Archery Champs!

Seven archer athletes led their team called Anime to an undefeated fall season in Qigong Archery. Nathan and Raven of Team Anime also won the Individual Championship male and female titles. They both captured the most points over the course of 3 unique competitions combining Qigong moves and shooting archery at small targets no larger than a piece of paper at 10 yards. Nathan and Raven had impressive performances as new archers (only in training 3 months) as they competed against competitors who had several years of experience. They showed that great determination and solid focus can set new standards. All the competitors received the same training and only trained one hour a week.

Raven and Nathan 2017 Individual Champions!

“Being in this program and winning shows me that I can and will be able to achieve great things. When I learned I won the Series Championship it was amazing. It was the greatest feeling of pride and anticipation all coming together into one moment,” remarked Raven, the 2017 Female Series Champion.

When you watch archery in the movies, you get inspired and you want to try it. It is different and unique and it is an outstanding skill to learn.

“You have nothing to lose. There is no point in not trying archery. I thought I was just coming out here to shoot archery and work on fitness and to become a champion in a few months against top competition is an amazing surprise,” added Nathan, the 2017 Male Series Champion.

“You may have bad days and good days, but you can express yourself in the archery fitness program and make friends. Kids can come here and make archery dreams and make their archery dreams come true here,” mentioned Anecya on Team Anime as other members of the team nodded in agreement.

Alicia Concluded her 17 Day Track to producing Champions on November 11, 2017, where young men from the Champion Circle Program awaited to do a 45 minute “Mystery Activity.” They were surprised that they competed in a self-esteem booster known as an Archery Fitness Challenge where they officially became ARCHER ATHLETES!! They worked on many skills and excelled in their activity in a timely manner. They learned that in order to develop self-esteem they need to do something and accomplish something. They were all Champions to learn new skills and complete this challenge in only 45 minutes!!

Archery Fitness Challenge Self-Esteem Booster

Alicia Weber re-set her own world record in the 30 minutes of shoulder-width grip chin ups on November 7, 2017, when she did more than 500 (over 50 reps over her previous world record set back on August 10, 2012). She gains great self-esteem when she is able to set, re-set, and re-set her longer more arduous records.

Alicia Weber breaks another record with over 500 reps of proper form chin-ups in 30 minutes!

Alicia captured her 118th overall victory on November 4th, 2017, when she ran a 5k race on packed-sand to raise funds for pediatric cancer. She was over-joyed by the wonderful environment, friends, and new friendly people (and Sandhill Cranes) she met at the event. She had a runner’s high and self-esteem high that day!

Alicia’s 118th Victory!

October 26 – October 31

Nineteen of Alicia’s Archer Athletes would agree that success is achieved in self-esteem building activities. They all took the Qigong Halloween Archery Challenge. Three Teams qualified for the event and they finished in a Wicked Witch nail-biting close match as they took shots to ghost and pumpkin targets.

Top Shots from the Halloween Challenge

Finally, a Big Fan of many years challenged Alicia to an isometric shoulder exercise. Alicia took in the suggestion and created a new type of isometric strength and endurance challenge for Halloween 2017 involving holding two bows and doing lunges on a BOSU. The video reached 2,000+ views in just a few days and has become one of her most popular challenges for this year. Success comes from self-esteem and achievements, which makes people feel secure. Great Achievements make people popular!!!

Alicia’s Halloween Isometric Bow Arm Lunge BOSU Balance Challenge

Last but not least, in order to celebrate Halloween in style, World Record Weber Wonder Woman performed a new Feats of Strength Compilation. She had such a natural high from self-esteem that she had to do a little extra in her cape.

6 Championships in Twenty-One Days

By Alicia Weber Photos copyrighted © Alicia Weber

In twenty-one days I coached many athletes to their championships as I coached myself to two major championships in 2 different sports. My adrenaline pumps to the thrill of competition and the excitement of taking myself and others to a whole new level. The difference between a race or regular event and a championship is the commitment, focus, as well as a much greater level of competition. The expectation is to bring out the best in myself and those who I am training. We make an effort to do this repeatedly, which means we need to become better people and better athletes all the time. The key is building all the correct muscles, skills, and great habits of success, so that we are able to peak at the right time for championships.

I was involved in 6 championships in 21 days, but these two championships above were the ones where I was the athlete. The remaining 4 championships, I was the coach.

The twenty-one days of 6 Championships began with my personal championship -THE USA 10K Beach Running Championship (which I won 3 times, took 3rd once, and took second…). This year I took my second consecutive second place finish for overall women (16th overall out of 1,280 men and women). I was thrilled with my performance as I never raced in such tough conditions before. There was rain, hail, and 20+ mph winds. I was also very happy that two former University of Florida Gator track/cross country athletes dominated the field. Ceal Muldoon Walker, a former UF runner from the mid-80s, finished first place woman as I was second place woman (former Gator athlete 2000-2002). It was a memorable race, which I kept thinking about for a couple days. I then had to quickly switch gears and get my high energy ready for my 2017 Archery Fitness Mind Games Championship on May 7 where 12 archer athletes qualified.

Archer Athletes Shoot For Stars in May 2017 Championships

There were only three first-time championship competitors who competed for the first time for the individual and team competition on TEAM JAG. All other competitors were returning competitors, former champs, multi-champs etc..The competition was the toughest thus far with ages 8-17 vying for titles as they not only had to master barebow category archery, but foot golf, a spelling bee, math problem solving, and mind processing challenges. They were all extremely well prepared and I knew they would wiz through this competition in tip-top form.

Since the youth already know what it is like to train and become a champion, they had to teach spectators about qualities of champions during their introduction.

“Discipline,” Sebastian of the Red Rubies called out as he went on to become the first male to win the overall individual title twice. He helped lead his team, The Red Rubies, to a second place team title.

“Hard work,” added Siri who went on to win her first championship. It was her dream to compete as an archer athlete and she enjoys training and excelling with her teammate, Two time champ, Indaya. Indaya, Siri, and the girls of the Majestic Maroons are named to the league’s first Elite Team. Majestic Maroons won the 2016 Team competition, while The Tides won the 2017 team competition.

Aisha won the 2016 Domino Archery Championship and took second in this one. Izzy of Hematites took third place. New archer, Bryton, of the JAGS took 2nd male, while former champion, Matteo, took third place male.

The spring 2017 champions!

The Junior Varsity competitors competed in a virtual archery foot golf championship. They are still honing their skills and they work with skill sets related to their abilities as they move up the developmental pipeline. They had great success and even popped out some new league records!!

Some of the results include Team Ecclesiastes with 54 points, second place team with 47 points was Archery Kings, and third place team with 44 points was a team A R Awesome.

Some of the following records were set for the league in Barebow category archery:

1. Youngest archer in year round program (age 4).

2. First 8yr old to hit a bullseye at 35 yards on his third lesson.

3. First 9 yr old to hit target at 35 yards on 4th lesson.

All the youth reaped the results of their hard work and dedication over the past few months as all their competitions concluded on May 15th. However, I had my own personal competition still to come. The training has been going really great – hopping on my SUP surfboard and hitting some waves in 18.6mph winds and 11-12 mph winds on a lake as I led up to my ocean SUP Championship on May 20. It was predicted to be flatwater, but it turned out to be “rock n’ roll” time for our morning race in St. Petersburg, Florida. Due to high winds of 12 mph and a lot of big waves, the course was shortened to around 2 miles. I was very happy to take the win in such tough conditions!! I became overall female champion in SUP Surfboard category and finished 8 minutes ahead of 2nd place.

I finished my spring season as an elite coach and athlete on a very high note!!
